Reproduktion der ersten Schwarzwalduhren vom 17. Jahrhundert. Original Rombach & Haas Kuckucksuhr.

Holzräderuhren gehörten zu den frühesten Zeitmessern des Schwarzwalds. Um 1640 entstanden die ersten Modelle, die fast vollständig aus Holz gefertigt waren und in bäuerlichen Werkstätten hergestellt wurden. Sie gelten als Ursprung der später weltberühmten Schwarzwalduhren.

•⁠ ⁠Holzräderwerk:
Das Uhrwerk besteht – wie bei den frühen Schwarzwalduhren – weitgehend aus sorgfältig gearbeiteten Holzzahnrädern.

•⁠ ⁠Gewichtsaufzug:
Der Antrieb erfolgt über einen Stein, der über ein Seildas Räderwerk in Bewegung setzt.

•⁠ ⁠Waagbalken:
Statt einem Pendel wird hier die traditionalle Waagbalkentechnik verwendet.
